We tried to place one last monster order, got shut down, and proceeded to enter a dark period on the DDC factory floor where we started “whittling down” our remaining stash of hats on hand. One by one, our colorways sold out, orders were turned back, hearts broken and countless spirited customers left frustrated.
So we tried to source them ourselves. And of course, hat vendors will promise you the world! A number of samples came and went, never quite hitting the mark. Too short, too curved, too chumpy, whatever. More darkness. And, we WERE NOT gonna make them overseas. They just didn’t have the same feel. In desperation, we tried and tried a ton of places. None did the job.
We’re just thankful to be making them again, and offering the hats we love so much at a fair price.
These beauties are the classic cap style that has been outfitting farmers, truckers, little league teams, contractors and the occasional carny for many years.
